Mind maps.
With room to think.
Mappy is a mind-mapping and note-taking app for Mac.
One-time purchase. No subscription. No Mappy account.
What Mappy does
Build connected mind maps with keyboard shortcuts, then use expanded notes for the explanations behind each node. Notes support headings, lists, checklists, images, links, formulas, and code. Organize maps in folders and keep them as files you control.

What it is not
Mappy is not a live team whiteboard, calendar, citation manager, or code-execution environment. It does not currently offer a Windows, iPhone, or iPad app. Do not assume other apps' mind-map formats can be imported just because they look similar.
This site describes the Mappy Mac app at meetmappy.com, not an unrelated maps or navigation service. The earlier Mappy AI web app is a different version of the product.
Your notes stay your files
Mappy does not run a cloud service that stores your maps or receive your app-usage analytics. If you choose a synchronized folder, that provider handles the sync. Local storage does not mean a file has app-level end-to-end encryption.
Keep backups of important work. For the complete details, read the privacy policy and terms.
Made by Dima
I'm Dima Russu, the independent creator of Mappy. I built it for my own mind mapping and notes, then rebuilt the experience for Mac with a focus on design, connected thinking, and longer writing.

How these guides are written
These are first-party guides from the maker of Mappy, not independent reviews. Workflow examples are illustrative suggestions, not evidence that an app improves grades or productivity by a measured amount.
Comparison articles link to competitors' official sources, show when the information was checked, and acknowledge where another tool may fit better. They are not hands-on benchmarks unless explicitly stated. Prices and features can change; check the vendor before deciding.
Academic examples are study aids, not course material endorsed by a university. Verify subject details against your instructor's sources. If a claim needs correcting, please send the guide's title and the relevant source.
